The NFL Draft is fast approaching and the Pittsburgh Steelers will have their hands full with big decisions over the coming weeks.
But prior to that, Pittsburgh will have to navigate free agency and decide who goes, who stays, and who’s coming in.
So before things get going in March, here is the pre-free agency draft target for Pittsburgh in the second round:

Kinchens is the closet thing in build and playstyle that I have seen to Troy Polamalu in some time. Obviously, if he comes anywhere close to filling the Hall of Famer’s shoes that would be a win.
But Kinchens comes from a university known for producing NFL safeties via Miami and spent his college career learning under another AFC North Hall of Famer in ED Reed.
Here is a blurb from my scouting report on KInchens:
Kinchens is a blend of size, speed and power that you can’t put into a box when it comes to his label. He struggles in some technical areas and could benefit from better eye discipline but his physical traits and ball skills make him a versatile playmaker that defensive coordinators will love to deploy. -Kamren Kinchens Draft Profile
Pittsburgh desperately needs another safety opposite of Minkah Fitzpatrick to play the enforcer role so he can get back to doing what he does best as a center fielder picking off QBs, making Kinchens an ideal fit for multiple reasons.
