Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors haven’t been doing so hot this season when compared to their different championship runs in the past, especially after a loss to the San Antonio Spurs. After the game, the Splash Brother shared his thoughts about how a Dubs lineup without Stephen Curry performed against a Victor Wembanyama-less Spurs team.
In that particular game , the Warriors lost to San Antonio with a score of 126-113. Keldon Johnson came off the bench to notch 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Spurs. Jeremy Sochan and Malaki Branham each had 20 points to help the Alamo get the win over the Dubs.
Over on the other side of the fence, Thompson led all Warriors by scoring 27 points from the bench. Jonathan Kuminga added 26 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
After the game, Thompson shared his thoughts on how the Warriors performed against San Antonio. In a video posted by Warriors on NBCS on X:

Even with the loss, Thompson gave credit to the Spurs’ shooting throughout the game. He also mentioned Jonathan Kuminga’s performance and hoped that he can take that same approach when Golden State meets San Antonio for another game soon.
Throughout this season, Thompson is averaging 17.1 points on 38 percent from downtown, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. Interestingly enough, the Spurs got the win without Wembanyama, their top pick in the draft this season.
For sure, the Warriors will enter their upcoming game against San Antonio with a chip on their shoulder. Keep an eye out for Thompson to see if he stay hot from the bench by then.
