The Cowboys quarterback explained why he doesn’t think his star wide receiver will leave Dallas
Aside from Dak Prescott, the Dallas Cowboys also had CeeDee Lamb as one of their star players throughout the entire season. By the end of it, the wide receiver completed the best season of his professional career with 135 receptions, 1,749 yards, and 12 touchdowns. This was more than enough to earn CeeDee the All-Pro honors. Needless to say, the Dallas Cowboys’ leadership are ecstatic for having such a complete player who can accompany Dak Prescott in this prolific part of his career. After last season, these Dallas Cowboys will return with even more hunger than last year and willing to leave everytyhing on the line. The off-season workouts started this week but CeeDee was nowhere to be seen.
According to his contract, CeeDee Lamb is set to become a free agent in 2025 and will make about $18 million for the final season on his contract. The Cowboys leadership is so happy with his recent performance that they want him to sign a new contract extension as soon as possible. Due to his soon-to-end contract, there have been reports that Lamb is looking for a new team to play in. However, quarterback Dak Prescott is feeling confident Lamb will remain a Cowboy. In questions asked by Pro Football Talk after practice this week, Dak said: “We’re roommates all of July, so if that’s the case, that’ll be fine. No worries. I know what he’s doing. I know how he’s preparing. All the confidence in the way he’s preparing and how he’s doing.”
