Rasul Douglas Gives Keisean Nixon A Playful Jab Over Near Interception In Week 10

Rasul Douglas may not be on the team anymore but that doesn’t mean he isn’t watching this group of guys closely. In the first quarter of their game against the Steelers, Keisean Nixon picked off Kenny Pickett. However, upon further review, Nixon didn’t get both feet down. Douglas took to social media to give a playful jab at Nixon.

Rasul Douglas Gives Keisean Nixon A Playful Jab

“Get ya freaking feet in bounds bro.” Douglas tweeted at Nixon. Besides not getting the feet down, it was a really good play. He undercut the route and made a nice catch on the sidelines. Nixon simply had to drag his left foot and the Packers would’ve had a turnover. Instead, the Steelers kept the ball and got points on the drive. Douglas understood what that would’ve meant to the team and gave a playful jab at Nixon.

Nixon Responds

The comment of Douglas didn’t go unnoticed. Nixon reposted the tweet and agreed with Douglas.

You can tell how badly Nixon wanted that impact play. This season has not seen a lot of them on defense and that was one that would’ve changed the early part of the game. The offense was moving the ball well and it would’ve given them the ball back to build an early lead. Still, no one is blaming Nixon for his effort. It is hard to get both feet down in a situation like that especially when that is not something that is practiced often for cornerbacks.

It is cool that Rasul Douglas is still invested in this team. This probably isn’t the last that we will hear from Douglas and the hope is that Keisean Nixon makes a big play at some point this season.
